MaMaSELF 2012: Master in Materials Science:
4th Annual Status Meeting, Rigi Kulm, SwitzerlandMay 7-May 10, 2012 (Monday to Thursday)
The workshop is reserved for participants of the Erasmus Mundus program.

The workshop places are limited to 45. First priorities have members of the program.
1-day participants (no overnight stay) are welcome (notification for lunch reservation is needed one day in advance). Booking has to be processed on-line.

Location: Rigi-Kulm (Arth Goldau)
The hotel Rigi-Kulm is 70km south of Zurich on an altitude of 1797 Meter high above the lake of Lucerne and reachable by cogwheel trains from Arth-Goldau.
Walking shoes are recommended when leaving the hotel area.
By plane:
Next airports are Zurich (ZRH) and Basel (BSL/MLH). Zurich has a railroad station (SBB) beyond terminal B, Basel Europort is connected by bus to Basel SBB.
By train:
Excellent train connections are servicing Arth-Goldau SBB/RB approximately every 30 to 60 minutes with direct connections to Zurich (1h), Basel (2h) - Lucerne (1/2h), St. Gallen (2h) (interconnections to Munich) and Milano (3-4h). Train time table (IC/IR,Voralpenexpress).
Transfer time in Arth-Goldau: 4 minutes (SBB and RB stations are side-by-side)
By car:
Highway A4, exit 38 (Goldau). Valet parking at the train station Goldau A4, CHF 5/day (2nd train stop, 100 meter uptown from the highway exit 38 (direction south/Italy).
Cogwheel-train tickets from Art-Goldau to Rigi-Kulm (one round trip) are included for particpants . Pick-up your FREE cog-wheel ticket at the ticket counter of the cogwheel station. You only have to buy your personal ticket to the station ARTH GOLDAU SBB.
The last cog-wheel train leaves Arth-Goldau RB
at 17.10h, Goldau A4 at 17.12h exactly.
Arrival: Monday, May 7: dinner: 19h, restaurant will be closed after 21h (help yourself)
Departure: May 10 (after breakfast)
Participants and speakers are requested to stay for the full length of the workshop.
VISA information (please contact PSI if you need an invitation letter). Switzerland is a member of Schengen. Schengen-VISA are accepted, if no restriction is stated on it.
Hotel Rigi Kulm (for privat extensions on your own expense, please contact directly the hotel, VISA/Mastercard accepted).
Our service starts on Monday with the dinner and ends on Thursday with the breakfast.
Infrastructure at the hotel/seminar:

Currency: Swiss Francs (CHF), last cash machines at Arth-Goldau.
Double rooms for students: please arrange yourself on arrival to find a room-mate
